We haven't met, but I'd bet we have a few things in common.
You work hard. There's some money in your account. Not crazy money, but not nothing either. Maybe it's everything you've saved so far, or maybe you're putting it aside for something big.
Every month it's the same juggle. Rent, bills, groceries, Netflix and everything in between. And every month underneath all of it, a quiet voice that keeps telling you: you should really be doing something better with your money.
It gets loud at the worst moments. Scrolling Instagram late at night. The last stretch before payday. The month a sudden expense knocks the wind out of you. You feel behind, like everyone got a head start you somehow missed, and it comes with a low hum of anxiety that never quite switches off.
I know that feeling. I've sat in it more times than I can count.
So here's the thing I wish someone had told me years ago: the problem was never you.
Nobody taught us money. Not school, not our parents, and definitely not that one uncle with the plot tips. We were handed a set of money scripts, from family, from society, and told never to question them. Save in cash. Keep your head down. Play it safe.
But here's the uncomfortable part: that script is broken. Money sitting still in a savings account doesn't actually sit still. Inflation chips away at it a little every year, whether you notice or not. The thing we were taught was "safe" is costing us. You were never bad with money. You were just handed a map that was drawn wrong.
This is what we set out to change with Pebble.
Pebble was never meant to be just another investing app. It's a guide, and a community of people who are done running the old script. People who want to understand their money, fix the habits underneath it, and take back a bit of control. Not to get rich overnight (I'm not going to promise you that). Just to end up a little further ahead than where they started, and to not have to do it alone.
